Nicki Minaj…Plastic Surgery?

Wanna hear much ado about nothing?! Apparently there’s a great deal of controversy over Nicki Minaj and whether she has had plastic surgery or other non-surgical procedures. As a plastic surgeon, I may be going out on a limb here, but I don’t think she’s had anything done (except for her fake eyelashes and porcelain veneers for her upper teeth)! For the record, I’m not a fan, nor am I a hater of Nicki Minaj. I’m not familiar with any of her songs such as Stupid Hoe or Marilyn Monroe so I think I’m pretty objective here.

What suggests she’s had something done? Her nose looks very natural and unoperated upon, her lips are full but as a native of Trinidad and Tobago, they’re probably very natural. While her eyes may at times look Asian in character, it seems pretty clear that it’s only due to her choice of makeup application. That being said, if you don’t want to go to the effort of applying fake eyelashes everyday, learn more here about growing your eyelashes longer with Latisse®.

So why the controversy? This is my theory…if you Google her name and look at images of her, there are a few random pictures of African American women in the photo gallery that have slightly different facial features. But if you read the captions of the photos, you’ll realize that some pictures in her photo gallery are not even her and therefore the amateur observer may think she’s surgically changed her face over the years, but only because they’re comparing her with a completely different person! See her side of things in this interview:

Let me know if you agree or explain to me why this is such a hot topic!
