I live out of town. Do Doctors do consultations over phone or email? If I have the surgery, how many days should I expect to need to stay in town? Will I need someone with me to help?
Some doctors will perform initial consultations via email, phone or internet, but eventually, they will need to see you preoperatively to discuss risks, benefits, expectations and obtain preoperative photos.
