This procedure removes extra upper eyelid skin and is typically performed under local anesthesia in our office. The result is a smoother eyelid and eyes that appear more awake or open. Occasionally, patients combine this with a brow lift, which will lift the eyebrows, further adding to the 'awake' look achieved by tightening the upper lid.
