Traditional eyelid procedures remove skin, muscle and fat. We focus on removing skin-only for the upper eyelids to PRESERVE muscle and fat and avoid hollowing out the eye. As we age, we lose volume, and taking too much tissue can make us look older. For the lower eyelids, this helps to remove the 'bags' under the eyes, created a rested and more youthful appearance. There is NO general anesthesia, no IV sedation, no surgical staples, and no surgical drains. You may return to some activities in 1-2 days. We use one continuous suture to close the skin. Swelling and bruising for 4-10 days on average, depending on how much work is required. Suture removal at 1 week. Results are typical and do vary.
