One patch is applied twice weekly, which means one pack of 8 would be approximately a 1 month supply. The patch is applied to the lower abdomen along the hipbone most commonly to clean, dry skin avoiding areas with hair if possible. Since they are the commercial product, the expiration date would be further out than traditional compounds. That means a 3 month supply of 24 patches is possible. This may be ideal for patients on maintenance doses opposed to patients who are titrating up or may require dosage adjustments. The strengths are listed by the amount of estradiol delivered per day, and the options we have available are 0.025 mg/24hrs, 0.05 mg/24hrs, 0.075 mg/24hrs, and 0.1 mg/24hrs.
