Eyelash Growth - Eyelash Growth is a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker and darker. Eyelash hypotrichosis is another name for having inadequate or not enough eyelashes. LATISSE® is the only FDA approved treatment to grow your lashes longer, thicker and darker.
What should I expect?
With nightly use, you should start to see darker, thicker, longer lashes in 4 weeks.
How should I prepare?
After your nightly routine of washing your face, apply LATISSE® as instructed on the box.
What are the risks?
Itchy eyes, darkened eyelid skin (expected to reverse after several weeks or months after you stop using latisse), permanent eye color change in patients with blue eys has been reported in patients that place a similar medication into the eye rather then on the lash line. No color change issues have been reported when LATISSE® is used as directed.
How do I ensure my safety?
If you suffer any eye related problems and are currently taking medication for them, please advise your doctor of this before trying LATISSE®. LATISSE® use may cause increased brown pigmentation of the colored part of the eye which is likely permanent. Eyelid skin darkening may occur which may be reversible. Only apply at the base of the upper eyelashes. DO NOT APPLY to the lower eyelid. Should LATISSE® come in contact with other skin areas, it may elicit hair growth in the area touched. If you develop or experience any eye problems or have eye surgery, consult your doctor immediately about continued use of LATISSE®. Itchy eyes or eye redness is the most common side effect of LATISSE®. If discontinued, lashes will gradually return to their previous appearance. In the event that LATISSE® turns your iris a brown color, that is likely to be a permanent change.
