Repeat CoolSculpting Treatments

repeat coolsculpting treatmentsWe’ve found an interesting phenomenon with our CoolSculpting (non-surgical fat reduction) patients. Over 90% want repeat CoolSculpting treatments! Not because it didn’t work but because it did. CoolSculpting is a non-surgical way to freeze fat and reduce the fat layer by 25%. It works and can be done more than once.

Do you have to repeat CoolSculpting treatments?

While CoolSculpting can certainly be done once to achieve results, it can be repeated. However, it’s important to note that it is not like laser hair removal in that it needs to be redone every month for 6 months. It’s not normally sold as a package. When our office discusses Coolsculpting with the patient, we explain that it can reduce the fat layer by 25% (proven by ultrasound studies).

Patients return 2 months after their treatment to compare before and after photos. Photos are taken from 8 different angles for a very thorough comparison. If after their first treatment, they’re happy with their result, they’re done. However, we’ve noticed that many patients, over 90% in fact, see their results, are happy, but as is human nature, want more! So they choose to repeat their treatment to achieve another 25% reduction of the fat that is left.

Sure there are some patients that don’t see a great result after only one treatment. They can choose to do another round but far and away, most patients see a result and choose to do more.
